In 2026, United Airlines plans to introduce an upscale international offering featuring cozy suites, caviar service, and luxurious pajamas.

The airline based in Chicago has revamped its operations.

Polaris business class

The product is being launched alongside the introduction of new United Polaris Studio suites on their Boeing 787-9 aircraft, featuring upscale features. Additionally, they are introducing United Polaris business-class suites equipped with sliding doors and bigger displays.

The newly introduced Polaris Studio suites, situated at the front of every business class area, feature eight fully flat, aisle-accessible seats which are 25% bigger than regular Polaris seats. These suites also come equipped with quartzite-topped tables, sliding privacy panels, an additional footstool for guests traveling together along with a soft velvet cushion, premium skincare products, noise-canceling headsets, high-end pajamas, cozy slippers, special caviar and wine selections, as well as 27-inch displays—the biggest offered by any US airline.

Moreover, travelers can benefit from Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, individual USB-C ports, power outlets, and digital controls for their seats.

We already offer an exceptional global service with flights reaching numerous destinations spanning both the Atlantic and Pacific regions,” stated Andrew Nocella, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of United Airlines. “These recent advancements enhance this luxury further, providing additional incentives for travelers to select United as their carrier, thus positioning us well for sustained growth through the coming years.

United claims it has poured over $150 million into enhancing its food and beverages this year. A fresh, onboard quick-service snack bar will cater specifically to Polaris business class passengers, along with an expansion of meal choices featuring a tapas-style service.

Every upcoming Boeing 787 delivery for United Airlines will feature the Polaris Studio suites along with enhanced cabin interiors, with the initial aircraft scheduled for delivery towards the end of 2025.

The upcoming aircraft will feature eight Polaris Studio suites, followed by 56 Polaris business class suites, then 35 Premium Plus seats, 33 Economy Plus seats, and finally 90 Economy seats. In comparison, the airline’s present fleet of Boeing 787s consists of 48 Polaris seats, 21 Premium Plus seats, 39 Economy Plus seats, and 149 standard Economy seats.

The initial international passenger trips using the enhanced interiors are scheduled for 2026, connecting San Francisco to both London and Singapore. By 2027, the airline anticipates having around 30 of these improved aircraft incorporated into their fleet.
