An aircraft en route to Orlando, Florida, made an unscheduled stop at Nashville International Airport (BNA) on Friday due to a potential mechanical problem, as stated by an American Airlines representative.

The American Airlines Flight 1884 took off from Chicago prior to making an unforeseen halt in Nashville. According to a statement from the company’s representative, the aircraft touched down safely and is currently being examined by the airline’s technical crew for maintenance checks.

The aircraft was a Boeing 737-800 carrying 133 passengers and six crew members. Furthermore, upon arrival at BNA, each passenger received meal vouchers.

Check out the complete statement from American Airlines mentioned in the incident below:

American Airlines Flight 1884, which was traveling from Chicago (ORD) to Orlando (MCO), made an unscheduled stopover in Nashville (BNA). This diversion occurred because of what might be a mechanical problem. The aircraft has touched down safely and is currently undergoing examination by our maintenance crew.

We’re striving to get our customers to MCO at the earliest opportunity. It’s important for us not to interrupt anyone’s travel arrangements, and we sincerely regret any disruption this may have caused.
