A young Aussie thought he was the victim of a prank call from a friend last week, only to realise minutes later he’d just become $250,000 richer.
Tristan, a 22-year-old individual from Canberra, found himself checking his phone last Thursday evening as he awaited the arrival of his UberEats delivery when suddenly he got a telephone call.
Sarah Butler from Oz Lotteries called him to inform him that he had won $250,000.
“I assumed it was just another prank from one of my roommates,” Tristan said to Oz Lotteries.
Once he recognized it wasn’t his friend, he hurried down the stairs to his housemate and switched the call to speaker mode.
