Cincinnati (WKRC)—The proprietor of a Mexican grocery store admitted guilt for washing illicit drug funds, as stated by federal prosecutors.

Teodora Meza, owner of La Marketa on Fields Ertel Road, confessed to initiating wire transfers that she thought were funds from drug trafficking destined for Mexico.

Prosecutors stated that Meza washed $20,000 for an individual who claimed to be involved in drug trafficking.

They mentioned that Meza showed this person how to hide the transactions by breaking them up to evade reporting obligations.
