GULF SHORES, Ala. (
WALA
) — On Friday morning, crowds gathered at the spot where the sidewalk meets the sandy beach, eager to attend the largest country music festival in our region. For those who couldn’t secure their tickets for the event, this was the closest they could get. “Sand in My Boots”… sold out completely just 90 minutes after ticket sales began last October.
“I carried my phone and used a computer. He also had his phone. We made certain we secured VIP access for day one,” stated Paige Stuart.
Dave Liebenow stated, “Since she’s from a rural area, once we learned about this event taking place, we purchased tickets.”
A total of forty thousand tickets were sold for the three-day festival. The box office has been bustling as they distribute wristbands to ticket holders for the duration of the event. This gathering is stepping in where the usualHangout Music Festival would take place at this time in May. As the inaugural edition of such an event, attendees have the exclusive opportunity to embrace the Wallen lifestyle over the course of a weekend.
“It’s our third time to Morgan Wallen…and she graduated college…with my masters, so it’s a celebration,” said Glenna Carlberg and Cassie Schmitt.
Two large stages set up along the shoreline will feature prominent performances from artists like Hardy, Riley Green, Post Malone, T-Pain, Jon Pardi, and naturally, Morgan Wallen. The main acts scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are respectively Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Morgan Wallen.
Certainly, with such an extensive lineup of performers, each person tends to have their own preferred act.
Sure thing,” replied Larry Dorgan. “We have Morgan Wallen, Riley Green, and the final addition is, my wife really wants to see T-Pain just for fun, so.
“Hardy, Post Malone… I’m a big fan of Brooks and Dunn. I haven’t seen Ella Langley perform yet. And Riley Green, definitely,” stated Carlberg and Schmitt.
“Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Post Malone, Bailey Zimmerman, T-Pain, you know,” Stuart mentioned.
A little bit of advice if you plan on coming to the Sand in My Boots tour this weekend…number one, plan on where to park or be dropped off…number two, be sure to wear a hat and plenty of sunscreen and number three, drink plenty of water. It’s going to be a hot one.
